    Hello everyone,
Tomorrow is official quit date for me. . . And I feel super panicked/stressed thinking about that. First thought this am was ~ have to get all the smoking in while I still can.
I've done super well (with Champix) I've almost quit - but today is already hard! I know cravings are psychological and it's my head that is craving...must remember why I'm quitting ☆☆ And so the battle continues

    Hi nerak47,

I get how you are feeling.  It is one thing to tell yourself you want to quit.  It is another thing to actually do it.  Strange but true.

I was finishing my Christmas vacation when I quit last year.  I think I had 4 days smoke free under my belt before I had to go back to work.  Well that 5th day, I was ready to leave for work, and I looked at my purse and I thought, "Am I really going to leave for work without a package of cigarettes in my purse?"  And honestly, I don't know how long I stood there just thinking, "Am I serious about this quit or not?"  And ultimately I decided I was serious, but I did have to re-commit to my quit in my head before moving on.

Committing to a quit is hard, it really is.  Most of us smoked for so many years that we don't know anything else.  But the good news is, we can learn how to live our lives as non-smokers.  And living life smoke free is great.

Try to keep calm, nerak47.  It's going to be okay.  Remember all the reasons why you want to quit, and think of all of the benefits of quitting.  And believe in yourself, because you can do this.
