Congrats on deciding to quit smoking! Quitting will be one of the best things you could ever do for yourself.
Don't worry too much about your slip. We have all slipped at some point. The important thing is to learn from your slip and to keep going. It seems that longer drives will be a challenge for you, so you have to figure out a way to keep yourself from lighting up.
I had four days left of my vacation when I quit. My trigger was going back to work. I remember just standing there staring at my purse and asking myself if I could truly go to work without putting a pack of cigarettes in my purse. I don't know how long I stood there, but ultimately I decided that I was serious about changing my life, and I left my apartment without any smokes. And man, was that ever the right decision to make. I have now been a non-smoker for 3.5 years and love the freedom that comes with not smoking.
Hang in there, bunny_lover2. You can do this. You will find your way. Do things to distract yourself and drink plenty of water to help remove the toxins from your body. And envision yourself leading a much healthier life. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. I am rooting for you!
