    Quit December 3, 2018

No special day, just wanting to quit again! First quit was Sept 8/16, relapsed 9 months later in June 2017. Quit again on Nov 13/18 & relapsed after 10
    days.

Biggest reason for quitting the first time was I hated the stink & the money I was wasting.

This time round those same reasons & better health. After quitting that first time my body got use to being healthier, so when I went back to smoking it affected my health, some wicked chest infections breathing issues & headaches.

I wasn’t happy about relapsing after being smoke free for 9 months, who does that? Nice to read/know others have done just that too!

    Hi Chesk,

I started having health issues, accompanied by severe pain & relapsed. However the biggest reason is I just wasn’t working my recovery enough.

A Big Congratulations to you on how far you have come, keep going strong on your smoke free journey!

Here I go again but not on my own ... I love Whitesnake!
I am back. Quit date today, March 25th, 2019. Stopped smoking as of midnight last night and have all my supports in place. Just have to make sure the patch will be ok with my new vertigo meds. So far so good! One Day At A Time (ODAAT) and Not One Puff Ever (NOPE). Thank you all for being here. Without you I wouldn't even have made it the 11 days I did (March 1st). Each and every time I am better prepared, learning from all my prior errors. So glad we are all on this journey together. I need you all! Congrats to all with smoke-free time. You all are my inspirations! We got this!! <3

    Hi all,

Has anyone taken on quitting now that summer is here again? Would love to hear if any of you had recent quit dates or are planning for a summer quit soon! Of course different seasons pose different challenges, but some people find being able to get out for walks and stay active makes it easier to keep their mind off of smoking.

Don't forget you can also register for our free trial nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) packs at the "Trial offer" tab at the top of the page. Those include two Step 1 nicotine patches and 15 pieces if nicotine gum. Could be just what you need to get you through the first few days of your quit.

Let us know those of you who have summer quit dates when you are planning for.

    Grace

"Got To" I Feel the same way To it has a pull on us but once we get our freedom back the little devil/angel on our shoulders can talk loud.
Thank you for putting in words what I feel. Keep going!

August 8, 2019 was the day I quit smoking (cold turkey). I pray everyday this will be the last of my multiple quits. I feel so much better already. It’s amazing how one does not realize how awful it feels to smoke until you are not smoking anymore. One thing I know for absolute certain- I much prefer being a non-smoker.
