    I used to ask myself, "When is the right time to quit?"

    I told myself the time wasn't right because:

    1.  I was under too much stress at work;
    2.  I was going to hang out with smokers that weekend;
    3.  A holiday was coming up and I wanted to be able to enjoy it;
    4.  I was really productive and deserved to celebrate comfortably;
    5.  I was bored and needed something to do.

    I could go on, but I think you get my point.  I ALWAYS had an excuse as to why the time wasn't right.  And then I realized something.  I am always going to experience stress.  I am always going to hang out with smokers.  There are always going to be holidays.  I am going to be super productive from time to time.  And there are times when I am going to be bored.

    So when is the right time to quit?  The right time to quit is NOW.

    I realized that in December of 2016 and took the plunge.  I quit smoking.  And you know what?  I was right.  I still go through all of those things, but now I handle them as a non-smoker.

    Just something to think about.

    Hi Treepeo,

    How true it is. There will always be excuses, but the underlying reasons for quitting will still always persist. Congratulations on seeing through 2017 and 2018 smoke free. That is two each of New Years Days, Easters, Victoria Days, Canada Days and Labour Days enjoying the smoke free lifestyle. How nice is that?

    Hi all,

    This is so true treepeo and eagerquit. There is never that perfect time is there but there is always now! It is so much better enjoying all of those holidays and celebrations as a non-smoker.

    Hi All

    That is so true.

    The time to quit is Now! No next day or next month, that will never be!
    I am so proud that I quit and stick to it!
    The stress well go with that...let it go! Deep Briefing always help and try to relax from that moment.

    Yesterday you did not smoke, so today is easier!
