    Good Morning:
First, Eagerquit, good to know there is at least one senior besides myself who has decided it's still worth it to quit.  Best wishes to you!

Today is only day 4 for me.  However there was a very stressful event yesterday that normally would have driven me to have a few smokes.  Somehow my determination to stay quit was strong enough.  My favourite soap opera was about to air, so after an hour of distraction watching that, I had calmed down a lot.  I have finally realized that I have to change, instead of continuing to repeat the same old patterns.  Change is not easy, at least not for me.  It has been very helpful to read your posts, and I thank you for your support, inspiration, and wisdom. Have a great smoke free day!

    Good Morning turningpoint,

Great to see you here on Day 4 ( now Day 5!) sharing how you are doing as you make changes...we love to hear the experience our members are having as they get through those stressful events and how they come out the other side still smoke-free as you did!

Really love what you've written in your post about " finally realized that I have to change, instead of continuing to repeat the same old patterns", that is so true isn't it?

Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

    Hi Turningpoint

I am enjoying another smoke free day today and patted myself on the back a couple of times. Nothing wrong with having a bit of ego about this successful conquest. Earlier this week I was on a trip where there were past triggers. I enjoyed bypassing those triggers. Life has simplified a lot without having to take time out for addiction or giving thought to when and where I could fit in another smoke.
