   OK, so I'm a little late!  I used some of the money I have saved from not smoking and took the family to DisneyLand for Christmas Break so haven't been around for a couple of weeks.
   
   Home now, and let me say, WOW there are a lot of new people here.  Awesome to see.  Welcome everyone, this place is great and so helpful.  We're gonna do it together!
   
   So at Disney, as is commonly done nowadays, the smoking areas are corralled and hidden away.  Still pretty easy to find however - just follow your nose from a few thousand feet away!  Our hotel had a BBQ area which I looked forward to utilizing after too many buffet dinners.  I get some fresh chicken, a cold drink, and head down to the BBQ area.  Guess what?  It's also the smoking pen for the hotel!  A couple of smokers help me figure out how to turn on the gas to the BBQ without blowing up anything.  Sat and talked with them while chicken sizzling away and guess what - I didn't want a cigarette for even a second.  Not even a second!  I went upstairs, enjoyed my dinner, and enjoyed the freedom of being a non-smoker.
   
   I wish everyone here to someday enjoy the same freedom.

   Kind of starts to hit home as how much it has been costing us to smoke. 
   
   I'm 1 week in and have saved $108.00 according to the dashboard. 1 WEEK!
   
   I think I've just got another motivator to keep my quit going. (Mind you I'm looking forward to Couples Resort in Jamaica for the wife and I).

   Hello efreeman75 - happy new year, and welcome back from what sounds like a wonderful vacation with your family.
   It is astounding how quickly smoke money can add up. Sounds like you had a great time with your favorite people, spending your cash on a memory that really made you happy. And how rewarding for you to have sat in the BBQ area, socializing, and without having a craving. Quite a milestone!
   What do others in the community do with the dollars saved from quitting smoking?

   Happy New Year to you, too!  Glad you had such an awesome vacation!
   
   Didn't you just love the freedom of not having to scope out where the smoking areas were?  Or having to constantly leave your hotel room to go have a smoke?  And wasn't the whole travel experience a breeze, in terms of not dealing with cravings at the airport or on the plane?  Those are all things I really appreciate now as a non-smoker.  I am so less stressed when I travel because I don't have to worry about any of that any more.  It's great!
   
   I am glad you didn't have any cravings when you dealt with those smokers.  Look who's a non-smoker now!!!
