hi everyone so I’m new to this. I have previously tried quitting smoking and failed. I’m starting to try again. I’ve started with the 10 week nicoderm program and joined this program as well.

    Hi mommasgirl,
    Hi mommasgirl,

    Welcome to our community!

It is good to hear that you are going to try to quit smoking again, and that you have a plan in place.  When you get cravings, try to do things to distract yourself so you won't think about it.  Keep as busy as possible.  And drink lots of water to help flush the toxins out of your body.

Quitting is hard, but it is not impossible.  Believe in yourself, because you can do it.  And post here as often as you like.  There is usually someone around who will support you.

Remember N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever.  If you never take that first puff, you will remain a non-smoker forever.

Welcome mommasgirl! Glad to have you with us.

I'm five weeks into my quit and have been using the patch to help me through this tough and amazing journey.

I've been a smoker since the world was flat, and like all of us, tried to quit on a number of occasions.

I come here a lot ... sometimes for support, sometimes to give support, as well as the amazing inspiration. If I'm battling a craving, I'll read posts from people who've battled the same and came through. It really does help knowing you don't have to go through this alone.

So reach out when need be, ask questions, vent, and know you can do this.

Thank you guys m. I feel better knowing that this community is so supportive of each other and that I don’t have to go through this alone. I’m terrified of having a slip or relapsing again. Knowing there’s a place to go where people understand makes it a lot easier. I haven’t had a smoke since the 8th and it’s now the 11th meaning day 3 which is farther then I’ve ever got before.
