    Hi,

I’m very grateful today.  It was not easy but this program, web site and all of you helped me in my journey and I thank you.

Each morning I post my Pledge to remain smoke free that day and post a couple of quotes that I find helpful.

I breathe easier and coughing and shortness of breath are decreasing.

I am still on Step 1 patch for another 2 weeks.  I know it will be a challenge to let go of the patch.

Congratulations on 2 months Clepage!  That's amazing!  And about decreasing, you'll figure it out.  Either delay it, or go for Step 2 with a back up gum or something.  Nothing is set in stone, just do what your gut tells you.  How are you feeling?

    Hi Clepage,

2 whole months - Woo Hoo!!!  Good for you, that is one heck of an achievement!  You should be really proud of yourself!  Isn't it great to breathe easier?

You know, we have had some wicked cold weather with extremely strong winds.  Now, I will admit that my heart has beat faster as I struggled against the wind, and I did huff and puff a bit as I tried to get through it.  But if I were still smoking, well forget it, I would be absolutely gasping for air.  In fact, these days when I think about it, I don't know how I actually got by all my life.  Smoking really is a killer.

Keep up the good work, Clepage.  Your health will continue to improve, and soon you won't feel so tired.  Life will get a whole lot easier for you.  Remember, you are doing one of the most important things you could ever do for yourself.  And you are going to reap the benefits of that.
