After being deadly sick, coughing and extreme shortness of breath, I made the decision to quit.
Within 2 days my cough was gone and my breathing has improved. I am looking forward to be able and walk without feeling breathless.

I am on the smoking patch and the cravings are not to bad yet, I distract myself or drink water, seems to help
Have tried to stop back in 2013 for 10 weeks then started again. I am hoping this time I will stay smoke free

    Hi lucky,

It's great that you are quitting again!  Who needs that racking smoker's cough and shortness of breath?  You will feel less pressure in your chest as time goes on, and breathing will get even easier.  Hang in there, you can do this!

Hi lucky, welcome to the Forum.

Congratulations on your decision to quit.  It is not a decision easily made nor easily carried out.  You should be proud of yourself!

What did you learn from your last quit that will make this time more successful?

    Hi all,

Thank you so much for all the positive feed back!
It is so hard quitting without support and this time around I decided to join smokers helpline and I am glad I did.

I take it one day at a time.
