Hello old friends, I'm back!  I'm on my summer holidays and am just quitting again.  I don't anticipate a huge deal as I've only recently relapsed but, yes, I have cravings again and I hate it!  And I hate humid summer lungs when you smoke, it's disgusting!  Now I'll have to be pretty conscious of not smoking for a while and waiting out those craves.  At least my post work day stress is not gonna happen for a couple of months, so here I go  .... wheeeeeee.........   And I'm committed to busting my back to burn off any hyper-ness I feel.  The pool is open, the bike is ready, and the dog needs a walk,

I already responded to your journey entry, Ocean, but you raise the issue of humidity, and you are so right.  I used to gasp for breath in the summers with the humidity.  It was so bad that I actually got scared at times.    But not smoking has made such a difference.  I am still not comfortable in high humidity and high temps, but at least I can breathe, and that's a huge load off my mind.

Maybe use the pool during the day, and ride your bike in the evenings when it is (hopefully) cooler.  Try making every day a special day where the focus is you and your health.  Like running a spa for yourself.  Actually, that just popped into my head, but it sounds pretty good, eh?  I think I'm going to try taking my own advice!  LOL

    Welcome Back Ocean!

I am glad to hear you are going smoke free. As you know the cravings always pass and you just have to wait them out. It is a small price to pay for returning to health. Enjoy the pool and the bike. Pat the dog and yourself on the back!

Wishing you another smoke free day.

Perfect avatar picture: getting back up on that bicycle again! You can do this!
    Happy Friday to you all,

Well I'm officially about 18 hours quit!  Have some NRT gum, took the dog on a long walk, reading a good book, and planning a short 3 day road trip.  I can handle the craves so far, just getting that fake hungry signals again.  Off for another walk, and swim!
