    Hello everyone,
It has been a long while since I've visited and or posted, life!
Anyways, holy jeez 156 smoke free days aka 5 months! Mind blowin' still 🤡☠👻
I speak often of what I'm liking about not smoking, and admittedly, there are plenty....!!!! I can genuinely say 'sorry, I don't smoke' and not feel guilty is kinda my favourite. Lately, in this Manitoban heat, ac is my new best friend- I'd hate to have stifling heat coming in cause I'm smoking in my car and need fresh air (go figure). Speaking of car, it's old school and only plays cds. So, I'm cruising along to work enjoying my music and then an ole favourite song came on. First time I'm hearing song (no word of lie) in 156 days. I used to curse my favourite song for coming on while I smoked...Ya know, the song interrupts my cigarette!!!??? We all know I had choices - I could have held off smoking til song was over, for example..but nope! I smoked as I sang grumpily along, and then when song was over, or I finished smoking I'd repeat song so I could now sing along uninterrupted....like really???
Today, I got to listen and sing and enjoy the whole song from beginning to end - without the repeat..hell Ya!! It's a fav song, so I did repeat it lol.
It's like I'm being reminded how intrusive smoking was for me. Back then - my smoke was being interrupted ~ today, my jam would be interrupted 😎.
I am liking I can sing to hearts content UNINTERRUPTED lmao.
Nah, I don't want to go back

Have yourselves a (you pick what kind of...) day

Congratulations on 5 months nerak!! I totally understand the music reference. I too would get frustrated when my favourite song would play during a cigarette. Thanks for sharing your success!

    Hi Nerak47,
Thanks for coming on the forum and sharing your progress.  5 months is quite an accomplishment!  way to go.....keep on keeping on!

I loved your story about the song interrupting your smoke and I got a good laugh when you noted how annoyed you were and how absurd the whole thing was.
I totally get it!  When I think about smoking, there were so many nonsense moments.
I especially enjoyed how you note that now smoking interrupts NOTHING in your life and how much you are enjoying that!  I am too!

    Hi nerak47,

Your post cracked me up!  Thanks for the laugh!

Congratulations on being smoke free for 5 whole months!  That is terrific!  Isn't the freedom great?  It just gets better and better, nerak47.  Keep the quit!  Being a non-smoker rocks!
