Hmm. My dashboard tells me that I have saved 22 hours and 44 minutes of my life and this is only day 4. That’s almost a day added. It makes these crazy cravings worth seeing through. My dashboard also tells me: “Your smile is already brighter. Staying smoke-free will keep your mouth healthy for years to come.”

Things I don’t miss about smoking

    The wheezing at night
    Blocked sinuses
Mouth and clothes smelling of smoke
Smoking in cold, snow and rain
    High blood pressure
    Burn holes
    The drain on money
Trips to the store for more cigarettes

Ok, here I go part way through week 2, still going! The cravings come and go and when they have become unbearable a shot of the Nicorette Quickmist took the edge off, I have used it twice.
    What I dont miss:
    short of breath
    dry mouth feeling
    hearing myself breathe
    blood pressure came down
    and the smell
When the cravings come on I usually remind myself of the positive feelings and what I don't miss.

Great list!  I don't miss the cluster periods of  smoking 4 with morning coffee, or 2 on the drive home, or 4 after work and before dinner, etc ...

I don't miss being afraid to talk to someone because I knew I had horrible smoke breath.  How embarrassing.

    Good Morning,

Ocean, I do remember those cluster periods. On breaks at work I would squeeze in two quick cigarettes. At lunch and after work there would be three in quick succession. When non-smoking company left, I would chain smoke to get the nicotine level back up.
