Long time no hear peeps. I am back for my "no idea" time to quit smoking. Haven't had the motivation to quit since many months ago but I am motivated now and pray to God that I can stay smoke free.
I quit yesterday morning ... just got fed up and put on a patch and didn't smoke from 9am on so today would be my second day. I don't know if you remember me from before but I was smoking on my balcony. I have since moved inside my apartment. I gave up trying. All in all it comes down to my own self-love. I just stopped caring about myself and everything. Didn't care if I died or lived. Someone pointed that out to me yesterday and it really hit home. I don't love myself enough to treat myself healthy.

Anyway, that's for starters. Blessings to all the original and new members!! Let's just do it!! :)

    Welcome back!

After all the efforts you put into trying to quit earlier this year I figured we'd see you again as you seemed so ready to want to quit.

Have you joined a quit group again?
Also I think the smoker helpline still has a free trial of nicoderm patches and nicorette gums.

    Hey atp! How are you???
Was so glad to see you were still here. Yes, I have joined a smoke group and am getting free NTR's through them. I go into see the girl tomorrow. She is awesome! There are a great many things I am working on now. Mainly Self-Love. I had it pointed out to me. It really clicked. I think I had given up. No longer cared about myself at all. This is a big step for me but I do feel really good about it. Good to chat with you and yes .... NOPE AND ODAAT!!!! Definitely! :)

    Butterfly,

I'm doing awesome. 10.5 months since I had a smoke. I'm on cruise control now.

Decided to lose some weight I gained the last year, and part of that I quit drinking (those 2-3 beers a day add a lot of calories....). Enjoying whole wheat everything (LOL).

I still hang out here to keep myself on the straight and narrow with my quit. Plus it feels good to give back to the community.

You know, I kept checking and expecting to see you back here. I never gave up on you. The efforts you put into trying to quit were monumental. I knew that your day would come.

Now lets get you going on your quit and see how far we go.

    Hi butterflyna,

Welcome back!  It's so great to hear from you again!

You are SO worth caring about.  Never forget that.  And you deserve to live a long and healthy life.  So keep going to group, use your NRTs, and tell yourself every day how wonderful you  are.  Believe in yourself.  You deserve to live a smoke free life.

    atp,

That is so good to hear. Over 10 months! What an inspiration you are!! I knew I would be back, just as you did. I did say I would never give up trying to quit. Yes, all those other things you are doing in your life are fab too! I don't know about you but I think something like quitting smoking could start a chain reaction to a healthier life. I am so happy for you. You sound so good. Yes, lets see how far I go! I'm feeling so good about it so far!   NOPE AND ODAAT
