Hi all.  Well one day down.  Tough day, skin crawling a lot.  With every bad craving I brush my teeth.  Takes away the craving right away.  Teeth are going to look great soon.

    Congrats on quitting!!!

I’m on day 2, but I’m using the patch. I have the crawling skin feeling too, and was a bit nauseous this morning. I just keep telling myself that this will pass and I will feel better than I have in years!

I wish you you all the best on your journey! Cheers to you!! You got this!!!

    Hi ginnyj,

I love your idea of brushing your teeth when you get a bad craving.  What a smart thing to do.

You know, now that I am a non-smoker, it's a bit easier for me to get my teeth cleaned, because I don't have as much plaque and tar on my teeth.  And one of the things I really love now is that after I brush my teeth, my mouth stays fresh.  I no longer get that tobacco taste in my mouth a few minutes after brushing.  Just another benefit of quitting.

Hang in there, ginnyj.  Remember, withdrawal is awful but it won't last forever.  Keep your eye on the prize, and take it one step at a time.  You are doing great, and you can beat this addiction.

    Hi ginnyj and mak031,

Congratulations on taking the steps to go smoke free and then to follow through on it, The tough times will pass as all of us who have hung in there know. Drink lots and lots of water and juice to clean out your system and keep yourself distracted with activities.

    Wishing you every success!
