    Hi Sarah,

Happy New Year to you, too!

I have been trying to lose weight and exercise more, and that is what I am going to continue to do in the New Year.  I have faith that I will be successful, but it's just going to take some time.  The most important thing, though, is that now, I no longer smoke.  That has to be one of my biggest accomplishments ever.

    Hello Treepeo,

Sarah and us moderators congratulate you on your commitment to your goals continuing through 2018 and of course remaining smoke-free!  This is a huge accomplishment. Please feel free to share any rewards you are giving yourself?

    All the best to you!

    Marianne

You know what, Marianne?  Staying smoke free is my reward in and of itself.  Because I no longer carry the guilt around with me that I used to.  I realize that smoking caused a lot of stress in my life, and now all of that is gone.

I did take advantage of a half price sale for a weight loss plan, though, because I have put on some unwanted weight.  And I figure, with the money I have saved from not smoking, I can indulge in certain little things that I want.  I am also planning to take a trip to Mexico in February, which will be my first major trip as a non-smoker.  So exciting!

Hello, I am developing my quit plan and my quit date is Feb.1st. I have a lot of fear but realize this fear has kept me smoking this long. I am 40yrs old and started smoking when I was 15yrs old. I am going to use Champix and have the script ready to start taking it Jan.18th. I am going to use all the supports I can and walk through my fear with courage and hopefully some grace!
