    Hello everyone!
I quit smoking on April 10, 2018.  I am now 36 days smoke free!  I have had some good days and some bad days so far, and it hasn't always been that easy so far, but I'm determined not to give in.  I have had, and still have some of the usual symptoms of quitting, and I use my little bag of tools to get through them, but I have one question....When will this dizziness stop!  It just goes on and on and on.  Is this normal this many days in?  It is horrible and debilitating.  If someone has an answer, please help.

    Hi Mina,

I quit in March with nicotine lozenges and gum. I noticed that when I took one of them that there was a mild dizziness which I attributed to the nicotine going into my system after a period of being away from it. I think that if I was in the same room with a smoker there would be a similar dizziness. If neither of these factors are the case with you, then you might wish to consult your doctor.

    Hi mina,

Sorry to hear about your dizziness. Did you have a chance to discuss about this with your doctor? To experience some dizziness after quitting smoking is quite normal. It is a common withdrawal symptom. It is usually caused by the nicotine leaving your body and now, your body is getting extra oxygen like it hasn’t seen for a long time. It is recovering and repairing itself, and it needs some time to adjust to this change. Usually, withdrawal symptoms fade and go away with time.

Like eagerquit said, sometimes using and removing a nicotine replacement product from the body can cause dizziness as well.

Hang in there a bit longer and I hope that this dizziness will go away soon. Do not hesitate to contact your doctor if you have questions or concerns about this symptom.

mina, Congratulations for all the hard work you've done to reach this day – 36 smoke-free days is awesome! Your determination and persistence is so great! Keep going strong. You can do this!
