Hi Dedi,
Congratulations on 4t months!! I had a relapse last week and told myself I needed to come back to these support pages so that I right myself again before it's too late. You are so far in on this quit Dedi and I know how hard you fought to get here! I had to have my anti depressant dose changed after my last quit attempt. I didn't know that quitting smoking could affect mood, sleep, energy and concentration like it did to me. So it's much more common than you realize to need medication help to get through the withdrawal and stress of quitting. My experience with depression was in some ways similar to going through withdrawal, but even happened when I was smoking. If you can't cope with stress like you used to, it very well might be depression too. It can be common, so don't disregard what the Dr. in ER told you. I'd hook up with your GP and get good information on this before giving up. It's your choice, but I'd get informed of this so that you feel better, that's what counts! Take Care Dedi, my quitting friend.
