    Hello
I have unfortunately over 21 years smoking become a chainsmoker. For the last 2 years roughly I've tried to quit alone but could only make it 10 days at the longest and that is with the gums. I do want this and I have faith I'll get there and won't stop trying. I'm trying this site and have reached out to my dr for some help thanks for reading and congratulations to everyone who is trying or has quit

congrats your decision to quit. good for you.  you can do  this. Deep breaths in and out slowly really works,, Lots of water and remember NOPE...Not One Puff Ever,  I say it everyday,  I also reward myself to keep my spirits up. Give yourself a pat on the back and say how awesome you are for trying.

You've made a great decision to try quit. It isnt easy and you have to prepare yourself for a fight but it is possible. Are you using any NRT? This site is a great place to come to for support because everyone understands what you are going through.

I am willing to use NRT or medication. Just seeing what my Dr recommends this week. I have tried NRT both the patch and gum

    Hi tinalee,

Welcome to our little community & congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking! Yes it is very difficult to quit this awful addiction but with the right help/supports so doable. I smoked a pack a day most off my life & never thought I would ever quit. I used Champix, relapsed several times like most folks and finally made it pass 1 year. I’m so grateful for the meds, this site & my family/friends. Wishing you all the best with your quit journey! Keep working with your Doctor & keep coming on here. You got this!
