Ive been using that 21mg patch with nicorette gum and the inhaler since the beginning of march and i find that has been working well as i have been mostly smoke free since then. I am getting to the point that i am used to using gum instead of a smoke

    Good Evening chartippybum,

    Great update!

Replacing those cigarettes with NRT gum is a great way to reduce that dependency on cigarettes - you are making great progress!

    Hi Chartippybum,

I left cigarettes behind on March 7 using NRT 4 mg lozenges and 4 mg gum. At first I was doing a fair amount of both but then gradually weaned away from it. Last week I reduced the strength of both to 2 mg and don't seem to be missing anything. I keep both in a cupboard drawer and don't think about them much. I suppose, "out of sight out of mind." Yesterday I had two lozenges and one piece of gum in total. I have been doing a lot of small candies and regular Excel spearmint gum instead.

    Eagerquit

I vaped before i quit i found it hard to completely quit cigerettes when i was vaping but i think vaping helped me quit all together. I felt so much better vaping than smoking 20 cigerettes and it felt like i was quit but i wasnt i learend how to deal with situations without smoking but with vaping instead l. After that i decided to quit both and the nicorette inhaler feels like a vape so it worked for me so far :) keep at it!

I quit March 5 using nicotine gum 4 mg and use it less and less lately - probably once or twice a day.

I love being smoke free!  I love the freedom from smoking.  It has been an old friend, and an enemy in disguise as a friend, taking my life, my money, my energy and my self esteem.

No more!  I am free and I plan to stay free!
