Hi Marion777,
You can check with your pharmacist, but generally quit aids like the nicotine inhaler are intended to be used for 2-3 months during the quit process. You can stop the regimen abruptly or taper down, depending on you you are feeling.
Definitely don't hesitate to use it though; it's purpose is to ease cravings and withdrawals and make quitting easier. It is safe and effective for quitting. Specially since you mentioned you do not want to slip up, the product is a great thing to keep on hand for those tough moments like eagerquit and brieffree mentioned.
Some other good news: people who quit for 1 week are 9X more likely to quit for good! Also people who quit using a quit method double their chances too, so you definitely have a lot going for you. That is why we run our First Week Challenge contest that you can register for If it interests you, and if you have not done so already. Quit for the 1st week of Sept for a chance to win $500!
Additionally, If you need financial support with purchasing the nicotine replacement therapy, you can call us at 1-877-513-5333 and we can look into resources for you.
Hope this helps,
Jenna Lee
