The Mindset is widely supported , and a definite part of a successful quit. Not only will it see you through to becoming a non-smoker, but in compelling you to stay a non-smoker.

Once you know something you cannot unknow it. If you don't succeed in this quit it could be that you didn't know how to follow the Nrt instructions and use in conjunction with a quit group or counselling. Your doctor maybe didn't give you a pamphlet, just trusted you to read the instructions on how to use the nrt and your good to go. You are overwhelmed by the thought and don't even absorb the significant of what they also tell you to do. YOu can get help to address the 90% psychological aspect of quitting smoking.

You are here, whether informed or by mistake, no matter, you are here thankfully. Years ago, we did not have access to the internet, and were left to our own devices. Willpower. Willpower alone rarely gets the job done.

We now know that with the proper mindset and using the tools we have learned , becoming a non-smoker if not just a dream but a reality. How long and how hard you find it depends on you.

I WANTED to quit smoking. I BELIEVED in could once i joined a quit group. I LEARNED about the 4 D's and understood the MINDSET.

i QUIT SMART TURKEY IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS WITH NO CRAVINGS.(after the first 72 hrs.) It is possible. I am proof. My husband is too.

    Hi Community Members,

It is true – to help get the most out of whatever you are using to get through your quit journey, your mindset it key.

Make sure you have a good idea of what strategies, techniques and quit aids you will turn to when needed to get through those tough moments.  Even creating your own quit kit and having all your supplies on hand (i.e. gum, toothpicks, fidget toys and fun little snacks).

Think of it as a new adventure or a new chapter in your life! And just like anything, there may be some hurdles along the way, but that’s why you have your resources on hand.

Check out our downloadable resource book “For Smokers Who Want to Quit” and review Chapter 3 on page 29. You can find this great resource in the 'How we can help' section of our website right besides Community Forms tab. Scroll down and it’s at the bottom!

If you are still trying to figure out what quit aids are right for you,  check out Quit Meds: Facts and FAQs under 'WHY QUIT'.
