    Hi bradley,

I know what you mean.  For the better part of my life, I began my day with two or three smokes.  Even if I was running late for work, I took extra time to make sure I got my fix.  Geez.  But you know what?  When I quit, I realized I had all this extra time in the morning.  So I started sleeping in a few minutes later, because when you sleep, you don't crave.  Eventually, when I got over the initial hump of my quit, I started using that extra time to have a nutritious breakfast.  And it made me feel good about myself.

Hang in there.  It will get easier over time.

Welcome to the forums Bradley. Joining here is a great step in the right direction cos everyone understands what you are going through and are here to offer support and advice (if needed).
What you mention is the oh too familiar triggers. For me its the morning, breakfast, when I get to work, when Im in the car, when I eat, when I finish a piece of work Im doing, when im drinking beers or wine... the list goes on. But you just have to grab the bull by the horns and battle through these triggers and eventually they do get weaker and you get through them without even thinking of a smoke. It is hard to get there though so don't feel u are alone in this.

Keep reading here and post about what is going on. it really does help. And rep[eat NOPE to yourself over and over... that one puff can send u right back to being a pack a day smoker in no time. Trust me... Ive got the t-shirt on that one. :)

Dublin Guy is usually right on these things Bradley. Good advice. Just keep one foot going in front of the other. Don’t look backward. Eat regularly. Listen to what your body is telling you. Keep your mind moving. Take it all 1 day at a time. Touch base with the gorum! Good luck man!

    Hi Bradley.
Same here, as soon as I have a coffee.  I was such a creature of habit going out with my mug, that my dog still runs out as soon as I pour my coffee LOL , we just need to do something else. I color or do a word search to keep my hands busy as Im drinking it
    Good Luck to you
