I am finishing day 5 of not a puff! Darn good thing I disposed of ashtray before last night. Of all things to cause me stress/anxiety is ~ missing my turn off. I was having passing cravings, easy come, easy go kind of throughout the day..And then bam bam! I haven't stopped wanting 1.

I have noticed I'm more on edge last couple of days, rather snarky inside my head and sometimes, not! I can see it, and i can feel, but aye aye aye,  I can see my mouth getting me into trouble.  What a ball of emotion I have become - I want to hurt everyone and then want to cry about thinking that way, and then I get mad at me¡ Some days I believe I shouldn't be let out side...
And so, another day smoke free.

    Hi nerak47,

Wow, can I ever relate to your changing emotions!  Fighting this addiction sucks.  It was most definitely the hardest thing I ever did voluntarily.  Holy cow, quitting is hard, there is no doubt about it.  But look at you.  You have 5 solid days under your belt.  Good for you!

Keep fighting, nerak47, because the end result is sooo worth it!  You are doing something that will change your life for the better. You will be healthier and happier.  No kidding, it's true.  I'm not going to lie.  Sometimes I still think about lighting up, which freaks me out, considering how far I have come.  But then I realize that, and I know that I would not change places with my old self.  Because today I am a non-smoker, and I am really proud of that. And you can be a non-smoker, too.  Just take it one step at a time, one moment at a time.  Each time you don't smoke  is a celebration.  Be proud of this amazing journey you are taking.  Because in the end, you are going to be a winner!   And life on the other side is so much better!

    Hello Nerak47,

Hope your feeling better today?  Roller coaster of emotions can be quite the scary ride.  You are certainly not alone as Treepeo shared.  Feeling frustrated and angry with others can happen.    Hope it is less intense for you now?

Fighting is tiring, takes a lot of patience, commitment and distraction to get through each day!  That is the reason you can celebrate as well, your character is being refined.  And as a result your life will be better as Treepeo shared and you can't change places with your old self- very well said.

Talk soon and smile knowing all the good that is coming out of your decision to quit smoking.

    Marianne

    Hi Everyone

I know is hard the few weeks after quitting, but trust me it get much and much better after...

I just come out of the Dental office and out side it was a bunch of people smoking, just few steps away, like in a second I turned my face straight to see my way ans avoid them. And I woke like I did not see anything, I had No Craving at all.
Is all in our head, just say No!
Practice every day and it gets much better!
    Drink a lot water instead.
