Hi everyone. Just an update. I am 18 days smoke free and, what is really amazing, I have avoided smoking 324 cigarettes. That makes the few cravings I have each day seem quite minor. I expect that there might be some tougher times ahead as I step back on the NRTs but as for now it is all quite doable. One day at a time.

         Hello Girlfriend,

Congratulations on being 18 days free! That is a wonderful accomplishment and wow you have not smoked 324
cigarettes! When you say the number you have not smoked, that really puts it in perspective!

Are you feeling any better now that you have not smoked for 18 days?

I'm happy the nrt patch is working well for you. Ideally it is a month per step and if you feel you are not ready to
step down from the current dosage of the patch you are on, you can always stay on whatever step you need for
             longer. There is no rush.

             Keep up the good work!

                Renee

Thanks for repying Renee. I am feeling much better than I was initially. I still have some mild cravings a few times per day. My anxiety is mild too and much better than it was. I do have an appointment with a therapist today to help me manage it.

    Hey quitfriend,

Congrats on 19 (21 days now) smoke free!!!!!!

Those first 3 weeks can be the hardest. You're dealing with so much and getting through it.

    Keep positive.
