I understand your fears. I have had fears around quitting too. It helped me to call a quit coach and talk through those fears. 1-877-513-5333.

    Hi andreawants2quit,

    Welcome to Smokers' Helpline Online.

As you can see, you are not alone in having fears around quitting smoking. When it comes to quitting slips can happen, but that doesn't mean that you have to give up. It can be helpful to learn from any slips (what brought you to have that cigarette, what could you do different if that situation happens again) and keep on going.

We are all here for you to offer support as you work on this. You will certaintly have a lot of help.

    Hi andreawants2quit,

I understand your fears.  I was scared, too.  Quitting isn't easy, and you will experience both ups and downs.  But no matter what happens, please know that we will all be here for you.  We don't judge each other, because we have all gone through, or are going through, the same things.  So no worries there.  Just do the best you can do, and take it from there.

    Hi Andrea,

No One Gets Left Behind.  We are all here to help and support you.  It is scary.  It is a leap of faith.  But take comfort in knowing that we will always be here to help sympathize with your difficulties and also to help celebrate your successes.

Many of us make excuses for years before we try to quit.  You are never alone.
