Hi Franny,
I am so glad to hear that you are giving quitting another shot. It doesn't matter how many times you have tried in the past. I think all of us have tried over and over before we finally got it right. The important thing is to never give up the fight.
Franny, if you can pull this off, I bet you can kiss your bronchitis goodbye. At the very least, it won't be as severe and won't last as long. It will take some time, but your body will start to heal, and you will notice the effects.
I used to wake up every morning coughing my guts out. I coughed off and on all day. It was so embarrassing. I could see people turning around to look at me, to see who was coughing so badly. My chest was really tight, and my voice got more and more quiet, because I didn't have enough breath to speak loudly. But all of that has changed since I quit smoking. Now I just cough normally. The tightness in my chest has disappeared, and when I am on the phone, people say they can hear me much better. Quitting has made such a difference in my life.
I know it's tough, Franny, but hang in there. Drink lots of water, and do things to distract yourself. Keep your goals in mind. You can do this, you really can. Be stronger than your addiction.
