    Quit January 2 and relapsed last month. Stress got the better of me as well as packages of cigarettes lying around. back to the drawing board. Today is day one...again.

    I'm sorry to hear that you slipped, but hey, it happens.  We've all been there.  The important thing is that you are going to give it another shot.  Good for you!  That takes a lot of guts.

    Try not to be too discouraged.  I remember starting at Day 1 and thinking, man, I have such a long way to go.  I mean, I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I didn't know if I ever would.  But I just took it one day at a time, and often only 10 minutes at a time.  And bit by bit, the time passed, and now I am starting Month 15.  And it's terrific!

    We all start in the same place.  It just makes every smoke free day that much sweeter.  So keep your chin up, qb16.  You can do this.  Believe in yourself.

    Hi qb16,

    Sorry to hear about your relapse and glad to hear you are back on board. Stress can be a definite trigger. The smoker's help line and the postings in this site can help with that. Taking some "me time out" for exercise and meditation helps through those difficult times. When I quit I made sure all cigarette packages were gone. Having my reasons for quitting on post it notes in front of me helps. Welcome back!

    Hi qb16!  Welcome back and good on you to get back on the saddle.  I used to wait so long between attempts and I regretted it so much.  Just keep going and don't give up is he answer.  Stay tuned in to the boards, even if you don't want to post because it's a good reminder of how you're not alone. when trying to win this addiction both physically, mentally and emotionally.  My hard times have always been between 6 weeks and three months, and this quit is the same.   But not ever again.  I will nt go back to smoking, even when I don't feel motivated I just do it because I have too.  And any support that see's me through is a help so I can cope on my own.
