    Hi all:

Next Tuesday marks my first anniversary since my last smoke. (I've been off the NRT since March.) The cravings are getting less and less these days.

But you want to know what's genius? I racked up a $13,500 debt in large part because of my smoking. Some of this is not spending during the pandemic lockdown, but since I quit using the NRT, I've slashed that debt down to $3,000.

Just thought I'd share in the event that this helps someone else out. I have to figure out what I'm going to do to reward myself.

    Hi writerguy1975,

Congratulations on your amazing success!  The first year is especially sweet, because it is such a hard climb to get there.  Remember back to the first day of your quit.  Could you ever really imagine yourself where you are now?  It just goes to show that it really is possible to quit.  You just have to take it one day, sometimes one moment, at a time.

I am thrilled for you, writerguy1975.  You should be really proud of yourself.  All of your hard work and perseverance paid off big time.  I hope you come up with the perfect way to celebrate.  You rock!

Awesome news writerguy - an accomplishment to truly be celebrated.  Thanks for sharing.

I found things so much easier after the first year, I believe mainly attributable to having completed a cycle of the seasons, events, holidays, etc, all as a non-smoker.

Thank you for sharing your celebration with us.

hope you found a way to celebrate!

quite an accomplishment!  keep going, and with the same resolve you had from day 1.

quitting smoking can positively affect other areas of our lives - financial, time, freedom, smelling better, feeling better, breathing better, and so much more.
    Thanks for sharing your success!
