    Hi All,

As today is the annual National Cancer Survivors Day we thought it would be nice to take a moment to celebrate!

Smokers' Helpline is part of the Canadian Cancer Society and so we gladly celebrate every victory, especially knowing how much quitting smoking improves survival rates (and, of course, helps prevent cancer from occurring and/or recurring).

You may know about the Canadian Cancer Society services such as the Cancer Information Service and Peer Support programs. If you or someone close to you could use support, more information is available here: www.cancer.ca

I'm personally grateful for the survival of my mother, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer over seven years ago. Mom is kicking ass and taking names!

I am also grateful for those who are reading this who are survivors themselves. It's great to have you with us, surviving and hopefully thriving!

If there is a survivor that you'd like to recognize today -- or if you're a survivor yourself -- please take this opportunity to celebrate with us.

    Best Regards,
    Efram
