Yesterday I was finished all the cigarettes I had and I never actually went out and bought any more. When I woke up this morning since I didnt have any cigarettes in the apartment and had thrown away my lighter as well I didnt have a smoke when I got up. I made my coffee and got changed and set for my day. I stayed busy today but I didnt make myself do anything that was hard and took a lot of time to do. Watched some tv and did some crochet and crafts. After had my supper I laid down for half hour or so to relax. Once was ready for bed I sat down and realized I had to keep my hands and mind busy. My mind was figuring out ways how or where I could get a smoke. I got on to my diamond painting because you need concentration as use your hand one by one. While I stopped for a minute I realized I felt better not trying to figure out ways to get smokes. I knew I had to figure something out in case I am not at home. My best idea. I got my beading jewelry making kits and got to work getting everything going to make a bracelet. My first day smoke free bracelet. I put some beads on it and spacers and attached a clasp and hooks and it fits me great. I put it on and this is my Day 1 quit bracelet. I am wearing it and will always wear it to remind me of the first day of my healthy and free life from smoking. When I move my arm I can feel the bracelet move on my wrist so catches my attention to remind me of this first day. Yesterday actually its after midnight. I did put on 2 clamps at the end as well so when I hit my first year of smoke free I am going to put on a special charm or pendant I like and add it to the bracelet. I am on to day 2 now and I feel good. Cravings havent been bad more my mind gets triggered oh I had a smoke when was doing this and then for a minute would think about what I did going around getting my smokes and lighter and go where I could smoke. Only lasted a minute but then I paid my attention back on what I was doing. Am gonna be doing my best as I can.
