I can't count how many times I've tried to quit smoking... Almost 6 years now... Patch, gum, lozenges - a few weeks, then back to smoking.  I have started champix and am at day 3 of not smoking.  I feel pretty good, but there is this weird feeling in my stomach that shakes my confidence a bit.  Smoking is so engrained into my routine - I am working at changing things around, drinking water and exercising to try and create new habits.  I will work to keep posting and reading the info on the site.  Have a great day everyone!  One day at a time, one craving at a time... :)

    Hi Franny,

Welcome to our little community & congrats on quitting this awful addiction.

I used Champix like you, quitting on Dec 3/19 and honestly don’t think I would of been able to quit without it. The side effects suck but so worth sucking it up to be smoke free!

Hi Franny - Glad you came back.  You've been around here and know the value of this place.

Increased anxiety is a totally normal part of the journey.  I'm sure you experienced some of this in your previous quit attempts.  Perhaps the NRT's just weren't for you!  And I hope you will find your forever quit with Champix and some strong determination this time.

Stay close, and we'll help you turn those minutes into hours, into days, into weeks...

    Hi Franny,

Congrats on quitting and making it past 3 days!

Sometimes (for a lot of people) it takes a few tries before having that successful quit. All these past quits can be good learning experiences. They have all led you here, quitting with Champix and having wonderful strategies to help you change routines and manage those cravings.

I'm happy to hear that the site has been helpful for you. We are all here for you.

    One day at a time,
    Emily
