My mother suffers from COPD. She quit 20 years ago, however she suffers everyday.  After a recent bought with a chest infection, the results came back.  I am in the pre-stages of copd and bronchitis.  Do I want to continue  on this path, absolutely not.  I am here to quit. I have given more time to this habit then I have to my marriage.  I hate this habit and I will quit.

    Hi carlag,

So glad you found our community. Welcome.

You don't deserve to suffer because of cigarettes, now or in the future. I am sorry your mom is having to face that daily struggle. Coming on here and declaring your determination is going to help.

Planning and preparing yourself for your quit is the key to success. Take some time to consider your triggers, how you will manage them and what products if any you will use....

Any questions, concerns, please come on and ask!
    Lillian

    Hi Carlag,

You are making the right decision, for sure.  Smoking causes us all sorts of health problems, and it's just not worth it.

You will find some great information on this site about how to prepare for your quit, and how to handle your quit.  I think that the more you prepare, the more likely you will be successful in your quit.

Give it a try, Carlag,  You have nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain.
