Dear jammrs:  Sorry about your wife's passing.  You can do this.  I am on the patch and I can tell you they work. Keep telling yourself you can do this. When you get a craving  I find chewing a stick of gum really helps me. Use the NOPE method .I do  Lots of help on this site. Keep reading all the posts, they went through this also. We can be a non smoker .

    Hi jammrs,

Congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking! I smoked many years like you & relapsed several times too. Quitting is not easy however so worth all the health benefits we reap. Your dear wife would be so proud of you for not giving up & quitting again. Hang in there! You can do this jammrs! We are all rooting for you! Take Care

    Hi jammrs,

I smoked for 43 years so I know it's hard to quit, but it's not impossible.  You have to be really committed and prepared to do battle with this addiction.

Try to do things to distract yourself, and drink lots of water to help remove the toxins from your body.  And maybe change some of your routines.

Make NOPE (Not One Puff Ever) your mantra.  If you never take that first puff, you will be a non-smoker forever.
