Yes, April Fools day was my first day without a cigarette.  Hard to believe I’ve gone this far.  The cravings are all but gone and my lungs and heart are noticing the improvement.  Now my life has changed including daily walks and healthier eating. If I quit anyone can.  Thanks for all the support from this community and God Bless ya all.

    Hi donr,

WooHoo, that is absolutely fantastic!  Good for you!  It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to quit for good, and look at you now.  Breathing easier and making other positive changes in your life.  Way to go!

When I smoked, I didn't bother doing anything terribly healthy because I thought, why bother?  I smoke so what's the point?  And if truth be told, I barely had the breath to do anything anyway.  But after I quit, I decided to make other positive changes in my life as well.  It's funny but when you quit smoking, you start to care for yourself in ways you hadn't done before.

I am so happy for you, donr.  You have come such a long way, and you should be really proud of yourself.  Make sure you do something to treat yourself.  Positive reinforcement always helps!

ok Treepeo I am so glad you said that "  It's funny but when you quit smoking, you start to care for yourself in ways you hadn't done before. Yes thats what I have noticed about myself .I did not do anything to care and now I have noticed I do that now and I have slowed down and take time with people instead of thinking hurry up so I can go for my smoke now I can be patient and listen and sit still outside and actually look at the birds breath the air look up at the sun and just be me.
