   Do the store brand generic patches work as well as the brand ones?

   Great question!
   
   The generic NRT patches work just as well as the name brand patches. If you are using a no-name Step 1 or 21 mg nicotine patch it contains the same ingredients as the name brand. One difference that has been noted by some is that the adhesive used among the various brands can differ and some people will say that one brand "sticks" better than others. 
   
   Talk to your pharmacist the next time you are in the pharmacy, they are a great resource and are very knowledgeable about all the different NRT products.

   I generally go for what ever patch is cheaper and or on sale. I've not noticed any difference in quality of the patch adhesive.
