   A member from a while back posed this question. I think it is another tool in getting through a quit. Remembering your happy place or getting to it if you can.
   
   Back then, when regretfilled asked, my happy place was just remembering a lovely hike in Banff Alberta. Today thinking about that still brings me a sense of peace, but so does thinking about my cat curled up asleep at my feet every night....
   
   Members, what happy place can you use to help distract you?

   My happy place is at a cottage in the woods.  Silence and nature are my happiness.  In this fastpaced world, we can lose sight of the benefits of silence.  In the moment, my happy place is placing my hands around a hot cup of coffee.  The heat distracts me and grounds.  In the car, my happy place is create with loud music (as long as it's not country!  #sorrynotsorry). ;-)

   My happy place is lying in bed an hour before bed and reading a good book.  I totally tune out of me and my surroundings and become engrossed in the story telling.  I do this when I need an afternoon lie down on weekends too.

   Writing is my main happy place, although I'm also happy cuddling my baby cat, talking to my husband, acting silly with my son, and with my nose in a book. 
   
   Oddly, I used to smoke worse than a chimney when I was writing as a smoker. Somehow it was turned around to be my main distraction from those nasty cravings when they hit.
   
   Editing is another story, my first drafts always look like a bomb went off in the middle of an ink factory.... *twitch!*

   Loving all your "happy places", can relate to them all, putting myself in them as I reading each and every one.  Except that I really like country music Lithan44, not everyone does I know :)  
   
   So wonderful to experience joy and happiness regularly, keep doing more of all that to benefit most.

   My happy place is sitting on my lazy boy drinking coffee and knitting.  I also enjoy going to the nearby river watching the sailboats.

   my happy place is from my childhood at a natural waterfall near my home 
   we would spend hours there playing in the falls
   i remember it when i shower

   My happy place is also a memory of some ducks standing on the fields/water near the road as I drove to work in the early morning.  It's reminded me that I like my morning commute along the backroads in the greenbelt.  I may go for a scenic drive today.

    Hi to all. Am new at this. 7 days smoke free this time quitting.  My happy place is lying on my couch with my bearded dragon on my chest getting some snuggles. Weird, I know, but it gets rid of cravings every time!
