Sometimes in life we face some really challenging situations where the result is an intense craving to smoke. Tell us about a tough time you experienced but got through it without smoking.

i have to say i got through this weekend successfully. it was very stressful . usually i would have caved into stress however i breathed in deeply and slowly this really helped to relax.  also i kept distracted and calm. drank water and other cool drinks and ate fruit from the fridge. my straw to bite on are near my chair very handy. and my reward sugar less cinnamon candy really nice and hot. also always coming back to this forum this is a tool that really helps me to get encouragement i also kept busy cooking up a storm

    Hi cec57,

Wow, what a full tool-belt you have got for yourself: deep breathing, drinks, fruit, straws, cinnamon candy and support!

It is no surprise that you are doing so well. Thanks for sharing your tips and congratulations for getting through those tough times.

    Keep up the great work!

Awesome to hear cec57.  You are using the techniques perfectly.  Cinnamon hearts - too spicy for myself but have heard how effective they are!

I've also found cooking to be a great distraction, plus I tend to eat healthier the more I cook from scratch.

    Keep it up!
