Hi minnow,
Congratulations to you for deciding to quit. It's great that the book helped you so much, and that it is much easier for you now. I love your enthusiasm, and your positive attitude is going to help you to keep your quit.
Toodoo, you were really smart to decide to quit when you were still in the hospital, because the process had already begun. But I can understand how you are struggling now. It is one thing to be forced to stop smoking, and something entirely different when you have the freedom to choose. You probably have so many memories of smoking, especially in your car. The thing is, you have to give yourself time to create new memories that don't involve smoking. Try to focus on all the benefits of not smoking. And reward yourself on a regular basis, so that you will start to associate not smoking with happy things. Day by day it will get a bit easier. Hang in there, you're doing great.
