Quit cold turkey 32 days ago after smoking for 35 years. I really really really enjoyed smoking and my family and friends are saying if I can do it, anyone can. I only have a few triggers a day now and can enjoy a cold beer again without totally craving a smoke. (it would still be nice though but totally not worth it. There's no going back now). I'm rewarding myself with a trip to Punta Cana in a few days. I'm looking forward to walking miles of white sand beach without coughing, huffing and puffing and being drenched in sweat with a racing heart. Good riddance to that I say. Cheers

    Hi breath20,

Congratulations on 32/33 days smoke-free, it feels great, doesn't it.  Today is day 30 for me, also cold turkey!  I too still enjoyed smoking, but was having a harder time breathing, particularly in the humidity of the summer months, but knew there was no way that I would quit smoking in the summer as it is too nice to sit outside, and not smoke.  I picked my quit day of January 6th, in October in order to get in the right mindset.   I have not had a drink since my quit day, not sure if I am ready yet for the glass of wine without a cigarette, so I decided to wait three months before picking up a glass of wine.  Enjoy your beer!!

Enjoy the walks on the beach, have a great trip to Punta Cana, you deserve it.
