I feel now this is as good as it gets and this is post smoking life. I’m eating resting and. Believe action reaction you eat you are fuelled- I’m eating amd am not -I’m just getting fatter. I too not going back to smoking it’s just well what it is. Like getting to a holiday location you think will be great and it’s disappointing. That’s it done.

Not sure if anyone will read this, but I'm 17 days smoke free, and the last 2 days have been so hard. Cravings are so bad, I can taste the cigarette I'm not having! From what I've read, this is normal, but I thought it would get a little easier instead of harder. I haven't caved, and I try to keep busy, but I can certainly see how people would give in to the temptation. Are these actually physical withdrawal symptoms still, or emotional? Whatever it is, I hope it leaves me alone  soon! Lol Hey....ya gotta laugh. Helps make life challenges a little easier . Hope everyone else is doing well in their journeys

It sounds like you are depressed. Depression can have physical effects on our bodies too, like the ones you described. Maybe talk to your doctor about taking some form of an antidepressant.

Hey I'm 46, I quit 3 days ago. I decided, because I work in Healthcare that I would use the patch. Cause I've been smoking 30 uears 1-1.5 packs a day. I wasn't sure what the emotional fallout would be but I don't want to be a little bitch to everyone lol. Anyway. You might find a little help might lighten your mood. But yours and my situation are similar. It scares me a little because I feel better after 3 days. I feel more energy than before. I wake up and jump out of bed. No headaches no achyness, and I can breathe better. Although I have a persistent cough. I've been told that's a good sign. I was a singer all my life and I walked everywhere cause I didn't get a licence until I was 35. So that might be what's helping me. Idk. Maybe the worst is yet to come for me but the only negatives I'm feeling are psychological. I think it's great you went cold turkey. I don't think I could. But I had to quit cause I was really going down hill. Winded on stairs.3 days in I'm not winded. Perhaps some nicotine gum would help. Get into doing yogic breathing. And that might help with chest tightness. I'll keep you posted if I get worse. I teuely do commend you and hope you stick with it and feel better soon cheers
