Hi Mom_of_3,
Sorry to hear you lost your friend. I know how tough that is, having lost several myself.
I am glad that after having slipped, you are getting on the bandwagon again. One thing I have discovered during this process is that I had to learn how to deal with different situations without smoking, like I always had in the past. Having resisted the urge over and over again, I have now started creating new memories for myself as a non-smoker. So, for example, when I feel like I have done a good job with something and I deserve a break, I will have a nice cup of coffee, but without the cigarette. At first it was really weird, but now it is just sheer habit. So it is possible to change our ways. Repetition helps!
You quit for 24 days so you know you can do it. Just take it one step at a time.
